Streamer Fly, Ken's Simple Streamer, Clouser Minnow, Deceiver Fly, Salt Water Guide Fly
This is a listing for our Baxter House Pattern, Ken's Simple Streamer. This is a true "Guide Fly". Guides are on the water every day and they need flies that are easy to tie but work every day. This is one of my most productive. I use this for guiding Trout in the Upper Delaware River and When Guiding the Flats of Tampa Bay. This fly has taken so many species of game fish. It excels in Rivers for Trout and Smallmouth Bass and in Salt Water for Spotted Trout, Redfish, Snook, Flounder and more.. This type of streamer fly has a long history of taking large Trout and other game fish. These are tied with both hackle and some marabou to give motion. They have just the right amount of flash. When wet they have a very slender profile which imitates juvenile baitfish. The slender profile and absorbent materials allow quick sinking.
These are tied on #2 Salt Water hooks. The total length of the flies are 3"
These are a go to pattern with our guide staff and we always carry a good selection of these patterns
We have these tied in the following colors. The flies in stock are listed in the drop down menu
Grizzly, Olive Grizzly, Yellow Grizzly, Orange Grizzly, White Black.
