Isonychia have a habit of emerging heavily from fast riffles and this fly is perfect for that water type. Easy to see, floats like a cork and the fish see it well. This is the fly I rig my clients with for blind casting and when fish are popping in the riffle water.

Tied on #12 standard dry fly hooks. Deer hair tails and heavy oversized hackle for maximum floatation.
