Description

This Isonychia Cripple is designed to imitate a Slate Drake that has become trapped in or near the surface film. Slate Drakes belong to the genus Isonychia, with Isonychia bicolor being an important species in the Upper Delaware River region.

Isonychia mayflies are larger insects that can provide excellent feeding opportunities for trout through the summer and fall. A cripple pattern is particularly useful when fish are taking insects that are unable to escape the surface film.
