This is my Favorite fly to fish during an active emergence of Hendrickson's. The Darker body stands out and the Trout see it clearly against the background of the sky

This pattern imitates 3 scenarios that Trout key in on. The vulnerable stage of an insects transition from it nymphal stage to adult stage, The scenario of an insect that died during or shortly after emergence and the spinner stage of a Mayfly. This is a fly that triggers an immediate feeding response from Trout. During active hatches, Upper Delaware Trout most always choose this pattern over the live naturals.
