Flatfish Minnow Streamer Fly, Ken's Flatfish Streamer, Streamer Fly
This is a new Capt. Ken pattern that is perfect for those situation where the fish want a fly in the 3" range that still has the "moves" in the water. (CHECK OUT THE VIDEO) The Flatfish has a flat oval body profile much like a standard tackle spoon. It holds it's shape even whan wet due to it borrowing it's body type from many popular shrimp and crab flies. The body shape allows the pattern to have a unique motion not found in other streamer patterns. The Flatfish provides strikes with a variety of presentations and stripping pattern but it excels with short, sharp strips with pauses. This stripping pattern brings out the similarity to a spoon. One you get the timing the fly will curl and roll similar to all struggling baitfish.
Thus far I've had success with many gamefish species in both fresh and salt water. Perfect for Trout and Bass and at home inshore on the salt flats for Snook, Redfish, and Spottet Trout!
We tie these on strong #2 Salt Water Streamer Hooks. Clor Patterns include - White, Black / Purple, Chartreuse / Orange.
Sold individually, 3 packs and in 3 and 6 fly selections.
