The assortment includes a variety of colors to help you adjust your presentation to changing conditions.

Why Fish This Crab Selection?

Having more than one crab style in your fly box gives you options when targeting selective flats fish. The Strong Arm and Sand Crab patterns provide different presentations, making this a useful assortment for a range of saltwater fishing situations.

Capt. Ken’s Guide Tips

  • For permit: Make an accurate cast ahead of the fish and allow the crab to settle. Avoid moving the fly too much. A subtle presentation is often better than an aggressive retrieve.

  • For bonefish: Lead the fish rather than casting directly at it. Let the fly settle into the fish's path, then use short, controlled strips.

  • For redfish and sheepshead: Work the fly around shallow flats, sandy bottom, and other areas where crabs are likely to be found. Let the fly get down before beginning your retrieve.

  • Change your presentation: If fish follow but don't eat, try a longer pause or shorter, softer strips. Sometimes a small change in movement makes the difference.
